Ignite Phx HS 1 Presenter Jaritza Sierra Biography I am a junior at Carl Hayden High School and a participant of Academic Decathalon club. My goals for life have remained consistent since I was about six or seven. I want to graduate as validictorian with hopes to transfer to an Ivy League University and attend law school to become an advocate for domestic violence. Becoming a lawyer isn’t my passion, dance has become part of my everyday routine since I was eight. Although dance is something that I probably won’t pursue in the future it is definately a vital part of life now. Description My presentation will breifly cover the history of ballet and it’s origins. Fine arts, in my opinion aren’t emphasized as much as other topics, especially dance in general. Dance isn’t something that is supported by facts but by an immense passion that isn’t projected by many. Fine arts, in my opinion aren’t emphasized as much as other topics, especially dance in general. My presentation will focus mostly on George Balanchine and his contribution to ballet as well as ballet as a whole. “I don’t want people who want to dance, I want people who have to dance.”
