I want to see Gillian do “The Dying Swan”. Does anybody want to see her do it? I bet she would really do a great job!!

Inside pique turns, otherwise known as step-up turns or (in my training) lame duck pirouettes.
They’re actually ‘lame ducks,’ not inside leg pique turns – to be a little more specific. She’s just so good at turning. love love love love
okay i dont think it matters about the ‘pirouette’ and ‘pique’ dealio (although you all have a point), the point is gillian murphy did them PERFECTLY!

To me every “turn” in ballet is a pirouette. I don’t care what the “proper” term is.
pirouettes are done out of a plie while pique turns are done onto a straight leg, if i’m not mistaken. i believe the above posters are correct an i was careless
since when are pique turns NOT pirouettes?
Maybe she’s a perfect Sylvia, but those aren’t pirouettes.
She is the most perfect Sylvia in my mind. Gillian is made for the role.
Those aren’t pirouettes, they’re inside pique turns.
